In the earlier levels it is sometimes more efficient to gather herbs in the faction specific zones. In these cases we label the herb routes / maps as Horde or Alliance.
Herbalism Guide 1-70 (Horde)
The first stop for Horde is Tirisfal Glades where you will be gathering Silverleaf, Peacebloom and Earthroot. It is a great place to start even if you are not undead. Just get a mage to port you to the Undercity and you are good to go.

Herbalism Guide 1-70 (Alliance)
The first stop for Alliance is Elwynn forest where you will be gathering Silverleaf, Peacebloom, and Earthroot. It is a great place to start even if you are not human. Just get a mage to port you to the Stormwind and you are good to go.

Herbalism Guide 70-150
The next stop in the herbalism adventure is Hillsbrad Foothills for Mageroyal, Briarthorn, Bruiseweed, Frozen Herbs, Gravemoss and Wild Steelbloom.
This section is really the best place for Horde and Alliance we had maps for Northern Barrens, Stonetalon and other nice places but Hillsbrad is really the best place for a good 80 herbing levels.

Herbalism Guide 150-230
From 150 to 230 Western Plaguelands is by far the best place for a few good reasons. Kingsblood, Fadeleaf, Khadgar’s Whisker, Liferoot and Goldthorn come in droves and it is really just too much to pick. Secondly Eastern Plaguelands is the next place to stop to level herbalism for 230.

The most efficient place to gather herbs from 230 – 285 is just across the bridge fromwhere you are at 
Eastern Plaguelands Sports tons of herbs including Arthas’ Tears, Black Lotus, Khadgar’s Whiskers, Life Root and Sungrass.
