Adopt an orphan and make their dreams come true!

During the Children’s Week 2012 adopt an orphan, complete their requested tasks and you will be rewarded with a pet. You can only obtain 1 pet per orphan per year so complete the orphan’s tasks each year to obtain all available pets.

 

Alliance Adoptions: Orphan Matron Battlewail (Orgrimmar).

Horde Adoptions: Orphan Matron Nightingale (Stormwind)

Alliance and Horde Adoptions: Orphan Matron Mercy (Shattrath), Orphan Matron Aria (Dalaran), and both factions are able to adopt an orphan from either The Oracles or Frenzyheart Tribe.

Children’s Week 2012 Achievements for the Children’s Week Title, Matron or Patron and the For the Children achievement.


Aw, Isn’t It Cute?

Obtain one of the Children’s Week reward pets.


Bad Example

While your orphan is watching you eat:

  • Tigule and Foror’s Strawberry Ice Cream
  • Red Velvet Cupcake
  • Lovely Cake Slice
  • Dalaran Doughnut
  • Tasty Cupcake
  • Delicious Chocolate Cake

Daily Chores

Complete 5 daily quests with your orphan out.


Hail To The King, Baby

Defeat King Ymiron in Utgarde Pinnacle with your orphan out.


Home Alone

Use your Hearthstone while your orphan is with you.


School of Hard Knocks

Take your orphan to the battlegrounds and complete the following tasks:

  • Capture the flag in Eye of the Storm
  • Assault a flag in Arathi Basin
  • Assault a tower in Alterac Valley
  • Return a fallen flag in Warsong Gulch

A Trip to the Dark Portal

Take your orphan to the Dark Portal.


A Trip to the Wonderworks

Purchase a Small Paper Zeppelin at the Wonderworks and then throw it to your orphan.


A Warden of the Horde or Alliance

Purchase a Foam Sword then return your ward to the orphanage.


Auchindoun and the Ring of Observance

Take your orphan to the meeting stone in the middle of Auchindoun in Terokkar Forest.


Back to the Orphanage

Return your ward to the Dalaran orphanage by handing Orphan Matron Mercy your Orphan Whistle.


Children’s Week

Use the Orphan Whistle to call the ward you will be looking after during Children’s Week.


Cruisin’ the Chasm

Go to Sentinel Hill, Westfall and use a Rental Choper to tour the Raging Chasm with your orphan.


Let’s Go Fly a Kite

Purchase a Dragon Kite Two-Pack and use it to fly kites with your orphan.


Playmates!

Take your orphan to vistin Winterfin Retreat (Oracle) or Snowfall Glade (Frenzyheart).


A Warden of the Horde or Alliance

Purchase a Foam Sword then return your ward to the orphanage.


The Bronze Dragonshrine

Take your orphan to visit the Bronze Dragonshrine.


The Dragon Queen

Take your orphan to the top of Wyrmrest Temple to visit Alexstrasza.


Time to Visit the Caverns

Take your orphan to stand before Zaladormu, the dragon on the dais in the Caverns of Time. Then, purchase a toy dragon for your orphan from the Keepers of Time Quartermaster at the bottom of the entrance tunnel.


You Scream, I Scream…

Purchase a Cone of Cold and then share it with your orphan.
