  1. Thanks, helped me alot to reach 400.
Spent around 6g to reach this goal :)

    • How did you only spend 6g to get to 400? I’m at 150 and have already spent 8, making back about 3 after selling for best price on the Trading Co.

      Please share your secrets.

  2. Is there an error in this? I think 300-325 should be the first tier of silk rather than linen. At least linen is all white/grey for me so not really shifting the bar. Maybe a cut and paste issue :)

    Good guide regardless.

    • We were checking to see if you were paying attention. Just kidding and thanks for catching the typo. We fixed it.

    • Glad to know I am not completely senile! I have to say it took me a few discoveries before i actually noticed.

      • That’s hilarious. Let us know how it goes.

  3. Nice guide, I had a hard time at 300-325, but still did it to 400, thanks very much :)

  4. I’m doing this at the moment. Does anyone have an estimate on the total cost? Because at the moment I’m starting to run out of money. I’m guessing this works best when your level 80 and have loads of gold?

    • In most cases I have seen it done in < 8g total for one crafting discipline. If you are running out of cash I would suggest to place orders for items rather than just buy them straight out. Some can be pretty inflated at times. In the end it will be far more efficient and cheaper than any other guide that suggests to gather all the mats and make components. Most people who have commented on the other guides suggest to gather a few mats for insignias or some overpriced items reducing the number of items to discover by a bit.

  5. Armorsmith Leveling Guide 100- 125 x 2

Please remove one as they are represented 2 times in a row.

    • Oh thanks, fixed it.

  6. Don’t be afraid to buy a crafting booster with gems, the 50% extra chance for bonus Xp eventually pays off since you would need less off the expensive materials.

Though it’s best to craft everything at once then, with some patience this should be doable.

    • Awesome advice! do you know if it works with discovering items? We have not tried that yet.

      • After following your guide and buying all the listed items (replacing chest pieces with glove pieces since they tend to be cheaper) i had to auction off a reasonable amount of crafting materials back into the TP, this in turn paid back the booster i used.

You might want to include that you have to compare insignias at lvl’s 100, 125, 175, 200, 250, 325, 350 and 375 (these are the levels with more than 3 insignias available) because the ones you listed aren’t always the cheapest ones at the time someones reading this.

        • Thank you for all the information. You rock!

          • No problem.

I forgot to add that i mostly replaced Leggings with helms since they were cheaper aswell.

            Every copper counts.

  8. Hi, I noticed you repeat the 0-25 Recipes on 50-75 phase (with the only diference being the Rune of Life recipe). I’m not really sure why you do that since you’re not really discovering any new recipe. I belive it is just for exp gain. If so, I must ask: doing the same craft a second time will net you the same EXP (or nearly close to the same EXP) you got for the first time you discovered the recipe ? What’s the diference between discovering it and crafting through the production panel ?

    • These are actually different discoveries that have the same name! You will notice that they take different materials. Discovering yields the highest bonuses, crafting in bulk is second and crafting a single item is last. The Gw2 crafting formulas link at the top shows the exact formulas for your reference. Thanks and good luck.

      • Ah, true. I was confused by all those insignia’s names. Your guide is incredible useful btw, thanks for making it.

  9. you cant do that 50-75 anymore, it doesnt count as a new recipe for discovery

    • Good eye! We fixed it by replacing Mighty Chain Gauntlets with Healing Chain Gauntlets. Thank you!

  10. You need to have a consolidated list of all items so we can purchase them all at once if we wish to. I have the gold to buy the items but having to break it down and repeat the items needed more then once is time consuming great guide though and I guess I’m being picky but having a list of all items required to level from 1-400 would be nice since I would then purchase all at once and follow your guide.

    • In this comment section is a list of all the mats needed. :)

  11. Hey will you be extending this guide for 400-500?

    • We just did! Thank you!

  12. Anyone knows how much gold you need for 1-500?

  13. Is this still valid? Will this work out cheaper than the guide from gwcrafts.net ?
